 2 pounds of your favorite squash (butternut, acorn, or kabocha), peeled, seeded, and diced

 large onion, chopped

 cloves of garlic, minced

 carrots, peeled and chopped

 celery stalks, chopped

 4 cups vegetable broth

 teaspoon ground cumin

 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

 Salt and pepper, to taste

 Olive oil
